The Addams Family Pinball: A True Classic!!
Released by Bally in 1992 and inspired by the iconic Addams Family film, The Addams Family pinball machine quickly became one of the most famous and sought-after pinball machines ever made.
Designed by legendary pinball designer Pat Lawlor , the machine is packed with character, clever features and plenty of surprises. In fact, more than 20,000 standard machines were produced, making it one of the most successful pinball machines of its era.
One of its most recognisable features is "Thing", whose hand reaches out from its box to grab and move the pinball using a hidden magnet. There’s also "Thing Flips", a unique computer-controlled mini-flipper that can help players make some of the game's trickier shots.
Players can work their way through the Addams Family Mansion, completing different rooms and challenges along the way. Unlocking the Vault, triggering multiball and eventually reaching Tour the Mansion gives the game plenty of depth, while hidden magnets known as "The Power" can send the ball in completely unexpected directions.
It's this combination of nostalgia, humour, impressive mechanics and addictive gameplay that has kept The Addams Family so popular for more than 30 years. It’s easy enough for anyone to pick up and play, but offers plenty of challenge for those looking to master the game and chase those high scores.
